Accounting and Corporate Tax Filing

I can prepare your year-end compilation financial statements and corporate tax return and filing, as well as other statutory filings such as HST, payroll source deductions and WCB premiums. Tax filing deadlines that are missed are expensive and unforgiving.  You work too hard for your money to spend it on penalties and interest to government agencies because of late filings. We can work together to ensure your filings are on time and save your money.

Personal Tax Filing

Most personal tax filing is reported with T slips such as the T4 you receive from your employer each year. However there is also some reporting that must be made on your personal tax return without the benefit of a T slip prepared by someone else. For example if you operate an unincorporated business, you must report your revenue and expenses on your personal tax return based on business documents provided by you. If you have investments that earn capital gains, you must report these based on the statement provided by your financial advisor as capital gains are not reported on T slips. I can discuss, prepare and file your personal tax return for you if you are unsure about what should be reported.

Business Consulting

I look forward to providing insight and knowledge to new and existing businesses in the Comox Valley. I understand the hurdles and plateaus of a growing business having experienced this myself.  There isn’t always someone there who can discuss and understand your challenges confidentially.

Bookkeeping

As your business grows you may find that bookkeeping is finding its way to the bottom of your list of priorities. This is a good point in your business development to learn to delegate this duty to a professional by hiring a bookkeeper for a few hours each month.  You might be surprised at the value this creates for your business.
